THIRD GENERATION
Lieut. John Owen [3] (Josiah [2], John [1]), son of Josiah and Mary (Osborn), was born at Simsbury March 27, 1686, and died there March 15, 1748. He served in Queen Anne's War. He married April 27, 1711 Hannah Marshall, daughter of David and Abigail (Philps) Marshall, who was born December 8, 1689. In 1712 Josiah Owen I, for good will, etc., conveyed the east half of Lot No. 15 in Simsbury to his own son John of Windsor and in March 1719, John Owen, then of Simsbury, sold and conveyed this land to his uncle, Isaac Owen of Simsbury.
