Martha Elmina was born on September 12th, 1846 in Keosauqua,Van Buren,IA.1 Martha Elmina's father was Alanson Norton and her mother was Sarah Maria (Sally) Freeman. Her maternal grandparents were Silas Freeman and Sarah (Sally) French. She had a brother and six sisters, named Charles, Harriet Emeline, Lucy Ellen, Mary Eliza, Emma Louisa, Althea Marie and Sarah Aldura. She was the third youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 38 on June 15th, 1885 in Mink Creek,Franklin,ID.1 -
