John Newlin 
John was born about 1716 in Chester, PA.1 John's father was John Newlin and his mother was Mary Woodward. His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Newlin and Mary Mendenhall; his maternal grandparents were Richard Woodward and Jane. He had a brother and five sisters, named Nathaniel, Mary, Jane, Rebecca, Abigail and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died in 1805 in Alamance, NC.1 General Notes
