Ole Midboe 
Ole was born on October 2nd, 1850 in Telemark, Norway.1 Ole's father was Torger O. Midboe and his mother was Sigri Utabjaa. His maternal grandparents were Engeborg Haugo and Tarjei Unknown. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Even, Ole, Carl, Aslag, Hage and Anne. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 84 on May 30th, 1935.1 General Notes

He came to America in 1859 in a sail boat with his parents. They lived first in Wisconsin and then moved to Worth Co., Iowa. Ole and Maren came to Dakota in 1877 and homesteaded in section 4 of Newburgh Township. The Midboes raised three other children, Louise Holdahl, Bernt Onerheim, and Alvilds Haugo Hogenson.
