Tabitha was born about 1775 in Craven Co., NC.1   Tabitha's father was Philip Mew.  Her paternal grandparents were Philip Mew and Neomia. She had two brothers, and also a sibling of unknown gender named Macamee, John and Neomy.  She was the youngest of the four children.  Tabitha is no longer alive.1
