John A. Mew 
John A. was born on January 22nd, 1852 in Beaufort Co., SC.1 John A.'s father was Abraham Mew and his mother was Rachel Smith. His paternal grandparents were Macamee Mew and Ann Rutledge Smith. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Kimmy, Graddock, Howard Wilson, Emily, Ann and Catherine. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 53 on June 5th, 1905 in Beaufort Co., SC.1 -
