Thankful Lovell

Thankful was born on April 11th, 1765 in Rochester, Massachusetts.¹ Thankful's father was Levi Lovell and her mother was Susannah Bates. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Lovell and Desire Hatch; her maternal grandparents were John Bates and Abigail Blackwell. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Simeon, Reuben, Stephen, Desire and Abigail. She was the third youngest of the six children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named John and Susannah.¹
