Samuel Lothrop 
Samuel was born in England.1 Samuel's father was John Lothrop and his mother was Hannah Howse. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Lothrop and Mary Howell Salte; his maternal grandparents were John Howse and Alice Lloyd. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Thomas, Joseph, Joseph, Benjamin, John, Barnabus, John, Jane, Anne, Barbara and Sarah. He had six half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Barnabas, Barnabas, Infant, Son, John, John, Infant, Daughter, Abigail, Abigail, Bathsheba and Bathshua. He died in 1699 in Norwich, New London, CT.2 General Notes

!(from notes of Georgia Cole) Samuel was born in England - came to America with
his father and was at Sistreate, Boston and Barnstable at which place he
married in 1644 Elizabeth Scudder a sister of John Scudder of Barnstabe. He
moved to New London and in 1668 he moved to Norwich. (see Lathrop Family
Memorial page 39 and Miss Perkins Old Houses of Norwich page 205).
