Joseph was born about April 11th, 1624 in EGERTON, Kent, England and his baptism took place on April 11th, 1624 in Eastwell, Kent, England.1 2   Joseph's father was John Lothrop and his mother was Hannah Howse.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Lothrop and Mary Howell Salte; his maternal grandparents were John Howse and Alice Lloyd. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Thomas, Joseph, Benjamin, John, Barnabus, John, Samuel, Jane, Anne, Barbara and Sarah. He had six half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Barnabas, Barnabas, Infant, Son, John, John, Infant, Daughter, Abigail, Abigail, Bathsheba and Bathshua.  He died on December 9th, 1702 in (Will Proved).  He was buried on April 9th, 1702.2 3
