Dewitt Franklin was born on April 24th, 1864 in West Milton,Miami,OH.1 Dewitt Franklin's father was Jesse Emmitt Lewis and his mother was Elizabeth Duncan. His paternal grandparents were William Lewis and Margaret Sturr; his maternal grandparents were Isaac Duncan and Elizabeth Dickson. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Elwood Duncan, Clarence Emmitt, Charles Edgar, Florence Cordelis, Clara Eva and Emma Bell. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 67 on January 17th, 1932 in Newton,Harvey,KA.1 -
