William B. was born on September 23rd, 1842 in Screven Co., GA.1   William B.'s father was William Joyner and his mother was Clary Bragg.  His maternal grandparents were John Bragg and Mary Sasser. He had two brothers and three sisters, named John A., Thomas, Elizabeth, Rosa A. and Clarisa.  He was the second oldest of the six children.1
