Maria Jones 
Maria was born in April 1883 in Cartersville, Cumberland Co, Virginia.1 Maria's father was Shedrack Jones and her mother was Sally Jane Jenkins. Her paternal grandparents were Jim Thomas Jones and Adaline Braxton; her maternal grandparents were Tolton Jenkins and Betsy Mayo. She had four brothers named William Henry, James, Matthew and Warner. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 90 in 1973 in Cartersville, Cumberland Co, Virginia.1 -
