Jehu was born on February 23rd, 1856.1   Jehu's father was Buckner B. Jones and his mother was Margaret Kennedy.  His maternal grandparents were Stephen Kennedy and Mary Holland. He had four brothers and a sister, named Bazil E., Stephen, Jimmerson, John Morgan and Elmina.  He was the third youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 1 on May 18th, 1857.1
