Nicolas was born on July 19th, 1662 in Province of Quebec, Canada.  Nicolas' father was Mathieu Hubou Dit DesLongschamps and his mother was Suzanne Botfaite Dit Bottfair\Betfer.  His paternal grandparents were Nicolas Hubou and Madeleine Moulin; his maternal grandparents were Richard\Gilbert Botfaite Dit Bottfair\Betfer and Anne Bonne. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Athanase, Mathieu Hubou dit, Jean Hubou Dit, Jacques, Charles, Genevieve, Anne and Madeleine.
