His paternal grandparents were Nicolas Hubou and Madeleine Moulin; his maternal grandparents were Richard\Gilbert Botfaite Dit Bottfair\Betfer and Anne Bonne. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Mathieu Hubou dit, Jean Hubou Dit, Jacques, Nicolas, Charles, Genevieve, Anne and Madeleine.-
