1   Walter Or Wallace's father was Charlie Hook and his mother was Emma Jane Clifton.  His paternal grandparents were John Hook and Ann Unknown; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Clifton and Mary Ann Leaton. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Leonard, Victor, Nellie, Violet, Edith and Ethel.  He died on June 2nd, 1977.1
