Martha Holmes 
Martha was born on May 13th, 1640 in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island and her baptism took place on May 3rd, 1640 in Salem, Essex, Massachusetts.1 Martha's father was Obadiah Holmes and her mother was Katherine Hyde. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Hulme and Katherine Johnson; her maternal grandfather was Gilbert Hyde. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Jonathan, Obadiah, Joseph, Samuel, Mary, Lydia, Hopestill and Sarah. She died at the age of 71 on December 30th, 1711 in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island.-
