William was born on September 20th, 1719.1   William's father was Thomas Hill and his mother was Abiah Unknown.  His paternal grandparents were Samuel Hill and Martha. He had two brothers named Simeon and Thomas. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Samuel, Henry and Rachel.1
