William Hastings

William was born about 1535 in Of Huntingdon, Berw, Scot.¹ William's father was Francis Hastings and his mother was Catherine Pole. His paternal grandparents were George Hastings and Anne Stafford; his maternal grandparents were Henry Pole and Jane Neville. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Henry, George, Edward, Walter, Francis, Frances Ann, Catherine, Elizabeth, Ann and Mary. He was the third oldest of the eleven children.¹
