Relinda Rose was born on March 6th, 1916.  Relinda Rose's father was Martin Haselhuhn and her mother was Clara Reisener.  Her paternal grandparents were George Frederick Haselhuhn and Mary Florip; her maternal grandparents were Friedrick Johan Reisner and Sophia Therese Johanna Schaffer. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Leonard, Rudolph, Paul, Adolph, Louis, Charles, Karl, Dora, Theresa, Heildegard, Evelin Malvina and Sophia.  She was the second youngest of the thirteen children.
