William Gifford 
William was born on October 20th, 1773 in Guilford, NC.1 William's father was Jonathan Gifford and his mother was Eunice Beard. He had a brother and six sisters, named Jonathan, Lydia, Phebe, Sarah, Mary, Eunice and Hannah. He was the third oldest of the eight children.1 General Notes
