1   Johnston's father was David Geisinger and his mother was Catherine Russell Pearce.  His paternal grandparents were Frantz Geisinger and Sarah Levi. He had two brothers and a sister, named George Francis, Russell and Helen L.  He died in Lawrenceville, NJ.1
