John Freeman 
John was born in 1820 in Brutus,Chautauqua,NY.1 John's father was Silas Freeman and his mother was Sarah (Sally) French. His paternal grandparents were Elijah Freeman and Olive Honey; his maternal grandparents were Ebenezer French and Sarah Bassett. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named Hesekiah, Kesekiah, Darius, Walter, Leonard, Lewis, Ethan S., Olive, Mary, Harriett, Hannah, Caroline Sophia and Sarah Maria (Sally). He was the second youngest of the fourteen children.1 -
