1   John's father was James Foley and her mother was Lucille LaRoche.  Her paternal grandparents were James Foley and Ellen O'Brien; her maternal grandparents were Jerry LaRock and Amy Odette. She had three brothers and two sisters, named James Francis, Thomas Merrill, Raymond Martin, Katherine Isabella "Kitt" and Ellen.1
