Melvin English 
Melvin's father was Henry Wesley English and his mother was Fannie M. Nichols. His paternal grandparents were William Jasper English and Amy Drucilla Burrell; his maternal grandfather was William S. Nichols. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Virgil Melvin, Marvin, Dessie Mae and Lessie.
