Martha Doty 
Martha was born about May 1672 in Plymouth Co., Plymouth, Massachusetts.1 Martha's father was Thomas Doty and her mother was Mary Churchill. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Doty and Faith Clarke; her maternal grandparents were John Churchill and Hannah Pontus. She had a brother and a sister, named Thomas and Hannah (Doten). She was the oldest of the three children. She died after June 29th, 1748.1 General Notes

Based on age at death, son John was born ca. 1689. The March 17, 1691 inventory of Marha's grandmohter Hannah Rickard mentions "items given to Martha Doty". This indicates that Martha was still single on that date, and leads to the conclusion that John White had an earlier wife. There is a significant gap between the birth of John and the births of most of the other children.
On January 9, 1700, John White of Rochester, yeoman, sold land to Isaac Holmes. On July 7, 1702 (or 1712) John and his wife acknowledged the deed, recorded on February 6, 1713.
On April 10, 1719, an indenture was made between John White of Rochester, yeoman, and wife Martha to sell 48 acres to Benjamin Lynde, John Turner Esq., Daniel Rogers, Henry Loranby, and Major Walter Price.
On September 10, 1725, John White Sr. of Rochester, yeoman, gave for love to "my son John White Jr., husbandman," a tract of land.
The will of John White of Rochester, dated June 29, 1748, proved November 9, 1748, names wife Martha; son Silvenus; daughter Mary; sons Thomas and Justus; daughers Elizabeth and Deborah; grandson Nathaniel, son of daughter Jedidah.
