George Dewey 
George was born on December 20th, 1806 in Feeding Hills, Hampden Co. MA.1 George's father was Allen Dewey and his mother was Fanny Loomis. His paternal grandparents were Josiah Dewey and Huldah Frost; his maternal grandparents were Pliny Loomis and Loviso Stephenson. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William W., Albert, Lyman, Walter S., Mary, Dolly Ann and Lovisa. He was the third oldest of the eight children.1 -
