Charity Elizabeth was born on December 3rd, 1853 in Linton, Greene, Indiana.1 Charity Elizabeth's father was George Bailey Denton and her mother was Margaret Rector. Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Rector and Mary McBride. She had four brothers and four sisters, named John Waggoner, Thomas Alexandrew, Joseph Andrew, Charles Wesley, Margaret Arrena, Alice Caroline, Chrisiana Flora and Statira Capitola. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She had a half-sister named Mary Janet. She died at the age of 67 in 1920.1 -
