Anna was born about 1509 in Antwerp, Belgium.1   Anna's father was Peter De Lichte and her mother was Kateline Scheelkens.  Her paternal grandfather was Wouter De Lichte; her maternal grandfather was Aart Scheelkens. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Aert, Wouter, Peter, Laureijs, Cornelia, Jehanne and Kateline.  She was the second youngest of the eight children.1
