Polly was born on March 8th, 1799 in West Springfield, Ma..¹ Polly's father was Moses Day and her mother was Polly Carew. Her paternal grandparents were Gideon Day and Elizabeth Duncan. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Moses, Francis, Lyman, Lester, Betsey, Mahala and Polly. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died due to Dysentary at the age of 1 on September 4th, 1800 in West Springfield, Ma..¹
