Thomas was born about 1796.1   Thomas' father was Benjamin Dasher and his mother was Elizabeth Schweighoffer.  His paternal grandparents were Martin Dasher and Lucy Ursula; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Schweighoffer and Hannah Florl. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Martin, Samuel, Benjamin, Gideon, Jesse, Hannah, Lydia, Elizabeth, Susannah and Emily.1
