Abigail was born on November 21st, 1673.1   Abigail's father was Samuel Dalton and her mother was Mehitabel Palmer.  Her paternal grandparents were Philemon Dalton and Dorothy; her maternal grandfather was Henry Palmer. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Samuel, Philemon, John, Caleb, Joseph, Timothy, Mehitable, Mary, Dorothy, Elizabeth and Hannah.1
