James Erastus Cronk

James Erastus was born in April 1862 in Canada.¹   James Erastus' father was William Cronk and his mother was Mary Polly Vannest.  His maternal grandparents were James Vannest and Elizabeth Card. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Freeborn, Walter, Willard Marshall, Lucinda Delilah, Elizabeth Ann, Frances Alma, Theressa Arrilda, Violetta Ann and Maggie.  He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.¹
