Mathias was born in July 1809 in Putnam, Co. NY.1 Mathias' father was John Croft and his mother was Mary Meeks. His paternal grandparents were James Croft and Hester Vought. He was an only child. He died at the age of 89 on December 29th, 1898 in Buried Hillside Cemetery, Peekskill N.Y..1 -
