Ann was born in 1758 in Daventry, Northants., Eng..1 Ann's father was John Chamberlain and her mother was Alice Unknown. Her paternal grandparents were John Chamberlain and Ann Unknown. She had two brothers and a sister, named John, Thomas and Rebecca. She was the youngest of the four children.1
