Clayton Edwin was born on November 14th, 1884 in Lincoln, VT (Twin?).1 Clayton Edwin's father was Chester O. Butterfield and his mother was Mary Etta Shepard. His paternal grandparents were Orrimel S. H. "Osh" Butterfield and Lucy Ann (Luthers?) Leathers; his maternal grandparents were Oliver Shepard and Phebe Bushee. He had a brother named Carl. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 78 on February 27th, 1963.1 General Notes
