Abigail was born on May 11th, 1702.1 Abigail's father was Jonathan Butterfield and her mother was Ruth Wright. Her paternal grandparents were Jonathan Butterfield and Mary Dixon; her maternal grandparents were John Wright and Abigail Unknown. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Jonathan, John, William, Mary, Ruth, Jane, Lydia, Deborah and Phebe. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children.1 General Notes
