Martha Burwell

Martha was born on November 16th, 1685 in Gloucester, Virginia.¹ Martha's father was Lewis Burwell and her mother was Abigail Smith. Her paternal grandparents were Lewis Burwell and Lucy Higginson; her maternal grandparents were Anthony Of Colchester Smith and Martha Bacon. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Nathaniel, Lewis, Bacon, James, Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Lucy, Jane, Unknown and Joanna.¹
