James Burwell

James was born in Gloucester, Virginia.¹ James' father was Lewis Burwell and his mother was Abigail Smith. His paternal grandparents were Lewis Burwell and Lucy Higginson; his maternal grandparents were Anthony Of Colchester Smith and Martha Bacon. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Nathaniel, Lewis, Bacon, Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Lucy, Martha, Jane, Unknown and Joanna. He died on October 6th, 1718.¹
