Abigail was born about 1680.  Abigail's father was Richard Buffington and her mother was Ann Francis.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Boveington and Ann Unknown. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Richard, John, Joseph, Thomas, William, Alice Alis, Ann, Elizabeth, Hannah, Lida Lydia, Mary and Ruth. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Richard and Abigail.
