1   Phoebe's father was William Boyer and her mother was Lucinda Smith.  Her paternal grandparents were William Boyer and Katharine. She had two brothers and five sisters, named John, William W., Matilda, Mollie, Pamelia, Ami and Ella. She had two half-brothers named Samuel and Jacob.1
