Sarah Ellis was born in October 1631 in Puddington, Bedfordshire, England.¹ Sarah Ellis' father was Robert Thomas Blott and her mother was Susan Susannah Selbee. Her paternal grandfather was Robert Blott. She had three brothers and six sisters, named John, George, Robert, Mary Woodford, Lydia Turin, Ann, Anna, Elizabeth Green Tosier and Joanna.¹
