Hershel Laffette was born on April 10th, 1876 in Screven Co., GA.1 Hershel Laffette's father was Perry Bazemore and his mother was Amanda Wells. His paternal grandparents were Perry Bazemore and Adaline Mock; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Wells and Elizabeth Hunter. He had a brother and a sister, named Alexander Thomas and Talullah Delila. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 77 on May 13th, 1953 in Screven Co., GA.1 General Notes
