Esther was born on July 30th, 1723.1 Esther's father was Ebenezer Barnes and her mother was Deborah Orvis. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Barnes and Mary Andrew Barnes; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Orvis and Deborah Unknown. She had ten brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Jedediah, Stephen, Gideon, Amos, David, John, William, Ebenezer, Abiah, Anna, Deborah, Mary, Abigail and Lucy.1 General Notes
