Rufus Orin was born on January 11th, 1882 in Payson, UT.1   Rufus Orin's father was Rufus Winston Barker and his mother was Lillie Oranna Searle.  His paternal grandparents were Jesse Lee Barker and Rebecca Jane Brinkley; his maternal grandparents were John Courtland Searle and Jerusha Morrison Hill. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Jesse Lee, Henry Albert, Lillie May and Laura Jerusha.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 59 on March 5th, 1941.1
