James Barker 
James was born in 1648 in Newport, Rhode Island.1 James' father was James Barker and his mother was Barbara Dungan. His paternal grandfather was James Barker; his maternal grandparents were William Dungan and Frances Latham. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, Peter, William, Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah and Christianna. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 74 on December 1st, 1722.1 General Notes
