There is a book about her,:Frances, The Falconer's Daughter, which I have read. Someone borrowed it and never returned it.
Following her father's death, she rec. 10 lbs from will; Frances paid taxes and the next year was assessed 13 shillings on "account of the plague" by the church. She lived at Covent Garden on east side of Bedford St. In the book, as I remember, she worked in a shop selling ribbons, etc. - William Dungan met her there and asked her to marry him and leave the country to avoid the plague.
Jeremy Clarke bp. East Farleigh, co. Kent 1 Dec. 1605; d. Newport RI Nov 1651/2; he brought wife and step-children to NE. A Quaker, said to be descended from Charlemagne.
Frances, with wife of Wm. Vaughan died 1677 in 67th year. She was daughter of Lewis Latham, she was sometime the wife of Lord Weston, then wife to William Dungan, by whom she had one son and three daughters. Her son Thomas Dungan married and settled in PA. and was the first Baptist minister in those parts. dau. Barbara m. James Barker; After William Dungan died, she married Mr. Jeremiah Clarke and came over to New England with her four children above mentioned. She had by her husband Clarke 5 sons; after he died she married to Mr. Vaughan.
