William Bancroft 
William was born about 1545 in Chellaston, Derby, England.1 William's father was John Bancroft and his mother was Margaret Hollingsworth. His paternal grandfather was William Bancroft. He had three brothers and a sister, named Ralph, Thomas, Bancroft and Margaret. He was the oldest of the five children.1 General Notes
