Martin Ballou

Martin was born on August 22nd, 1848 in Woodstock, Champaign Co., Ohio.¹ Martin's father was Henry Ballou and his mother was Caroline Abigail Davis. His paternal grandparents were Martin Ballou and Elizabeth Lyon; his maternal grandparents were Jeremiah Davis and Jedidah Tilton. He had a brother and four sisters, named John Davis, Amy Ann, Lydia Irene, Betsey Eleanor and Caroline Gedidah. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at 5 months old on February 11th, 1849 in Woodstock, Champaign Co., Ohio.¹
