Margaret was born in 1862 in Prussia.1   Margaret's father was John Arenz and her mother was Gertrude Wirtz.  Her paternal grandparents were Hubert Arenz and Mary S. Miller. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Gottfried, John, Joseph, Nicolous, Agness and Josephine.  She was the third oldest of the seven children.1
